Q: Are your products just for people with eczema?
Nope! Our goat milk soap and other natural skincare products are for everyone! Who doesn’t want healthy, vibrant skin? At Your Best heps to cut down on all of the toxins your body is continually barraged with by providing you with a chemical-free products while giving new life to your skin, one bar at a time!
Q: Is there lye in your soap?
Nope, but there was. Lye is used in the production of our soap but is not contained in our soap when you purchase it. All soap is the product of a chemical reaction between lye and fatty acids (triglycerides), called saponification, which produces soap and glycerin. This process takes between 12 to 48 hours to complete. We cure our soap for 6-8 weeks to allow ample time for all of the lye to be fully consumed by the saponification process. Curing the soap also allows any excess moisture to evaporate making for a harder, longer lasting bar of soap. This is a quality control standard we utilize to ensure there is absolutely zero lye remaining in our soap, and that you have a hard bar that won't mush away in the shower.
Q: Your soap looks and smells so good! Can I eat it?
Our soap does look and smell good enough to eat. However, we highly recommend that you do not eat the soap, as that is not its intended purpose.
Q: Are your products hypoallergenic?
Yes, our products are 100% natural, handmade and are great for all skin types, especially sensitive skin! We started At Your Best because our son had severe eczema and natural soap was the only thing that helped him.
